Startup Asean Summit 2025, Qualgro’s General Partner Weisheng Neo joined a panel alongside Looi Wen Jie (Jelawang Capital), Alvin Yuan (HealthMetrics) and Stephan Lai (The Malaysian China Silk Route Business Chamber), to discuss the topic on “Transcending Borders: Catalyst or Parasite?”.
Weisheng highlighted that an increasing number of founders are choosing Southeast Asia as a base to grow and scale their businesses. He also noted that as Malaysia’s startup ecosystem matures, founders are thinking regionally and globally from day one—building cross-border teams and setting higher standards for sustainable growth.
